If you are taking a skiing holiday or a winter break then don't forget your travel insurance. Cover4travel can offer a winter sports policy that includes cover for:
Winter Sports Cover -Extends your policy to provide cover for you when skiing or snowboarding and provides the following additional cover:
- Winter sports equipment up to the amount shown in the schedule0
- Hired winter sports equipment up to the amount shown in the schedule
- Ski pack up to the amount shown in the schedule
- Piste closure up to the amount shown in the schedule
- Avalanche closure up to the amount shown in the schedule
- Benefits are per person.
Winter Sports with Increased Equipment Cover - This option includes our standard winter sports cover with the addition of an increased level of cover for your own winter sports equipment.
- Winter sports equipment up to the amount shown in the schedule (Single Article Limit the amount shown in the schedule)
- Hired winter sports equipment up to the amount shown in the schedule
- Ski pack up to the amount shown in the schedule
- Piste closure up to the amount shown in the schedule
- Avalanche closure up to the amount shown in the schedule
- Benefits are per person.
Cover Explained
Ski Equipment: Covers you for accidental loss, theft or damage of ski equipment that you own or have hired up to the amount shown in the schedule.
Ski Hire: Covers you in the event that your own ski equipment is lost, stolen or damaged; or delayed in transit for more than 12 hours on your outward journey from the UK. You can claim the amount shown in the schedule for each 24hr period you are without your own ski equipment up to a maximum of the amount shown in the schedule.
Ski Pack: Cover you up to the amount shown in the schedule if you are unable to use your ski pass, tuition or ski hire due to being involved in an accident / or your sickness / or the loss or theft of your ski pass.
Piste Closure: The insurer will pay the amount shown in the schedule for each complete 24hour period up to the amount shown in the schedule you are unable to ski due to a lack of snowfall or adverse weather conditions during the months of December to March inclusive (April to October in the southern hemisphere) at your pre-booked wintersports resort.
Delay due to avalanche: You are covered up to the amount shown in the schedule for additional travel & accommodation expenses, if your return journey is delayed by at least 12hrs beyond your scheduled departure time as a direct result of an avalanche in your pre-booked winter sports resort.
