Cancellation Procedures

You may cancel your policy, in which case you will be entitled to a pro rata refund of your premium less a £10 administration charge except where:

  1. The notification of cancellation is received by us less than 4 months prior to the expiry date of the policy, in which case no refund will be made.
  2. Your premium is £40 or less in total in which case no refund will be made.
  3. You have claimed during the insurance period.

If you cancel your policy within the first 14 days, as long as you have not made a claim and there are no claims pending, we will refund all the premium you have paid.

We require notification of cancellation in writing.

  • Reason for cancellation.
  • A declaration that no claims have been made or are pending on the policy.

You can cancel your policy within 30 days of the policy start date or, if later, 30 days of the date you receive this Policy Document.

We will refund any premiums you have paid as long as you have not made a claim and do not intend to make a claim.

You can also cancel your policy at any other time and providing that no claim has been made, you will be entitled to a portion of your premium back for the unexpired period of insurance. This will be based on the number of days remaining until the expiry date less an administration fee of £7.50.

If you decide that for any reason this policy does not meet your insurance needs then you can return it to the insurance intermediary that sold you this policy within 14 days from the date of purchase or the date on which you receive your policy documentation, whichever is the later. Provided that no claims have been made or are pending, we will refund your premium in full.

You may cancel this policy at any time after the 14 day cooling off period by informing the insurance intermediary who sold you this policy. You will be entitled to a pro-rata refund of premium, less a £10 administration charge, for the unexpired portion of the period of insurance, provided that no claims have been made or are pending. In the event that a claim has been made or pending, no refund of premium is due back to you.

If you wish to cancel your policy there are 4 ways in which you can do this.

    In order to process you cancellation we will need you to include the following information with your request to cancel:
    • Policy holders name
    • Policy number
    • Policy expiry date
    • Reason for the cancellation
    • A short declaration that no claims have been made or pending on the policy

Cancellation within 14 days of the date of purchase.

You will be entitled to a full refund of the Insurance Premium you paid provided no claims have been made or are pending on the policy.

Cancellation after 14 days of the date of purchase.

We offer a pro rata refund of your insurance premium less a €25 cancellation charge except where:

  • The notification of cancellation is received by us less than 4 months prior to the expiry date of the policy.
  • You have claimed during the insurance period.
In all of the above cases no refund will be made.

If, after reading this policy you are not satisfied with it for any reason, you must return the certificate to Cover4travel.com within 14 days of issue in order to receive a full refund of premium, provided you have not already travelled or incurred a claim.
